Gadolinium is a contrast dye used during MRIs and other scans that produce images of the inside of a patient's body. In the days or months after ingesting Gadolinium, some people have reported serious complications, including a rare syndrome called Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF). The disease can affect several of the body's vital organs such as the liver, skin and lungs.
Often, people with NSF fail to connect their condition with an MRI scan they had in the past. If you or a loved one has a confirmed diagnosis of NSF and you believe Gadolinium may be the cause of your condition, seek legal counsel. There is currently no cure for NSF.
